Suspension

In the interests of good road holding, sharp but predictable handling and reasonable ride comfort, the car was given multi link suspension at front and rear.

This system, expensively devised with the aid of Nissan's two Cray super-computers, is now used on a number of their high performance cars. Based on a double wishbone layout, additional links achieve a steering geometry that Is closer to ideal and avoids unwelcome toe-angle changes that occur in suspension movement.

At the rear, the multi link system consists of a diagonal A arm which gives a slight measure of toe-in under both braking and acceleration to aid stability.
