Books: What books exist about the 300zx ?

See above re service manuals. The Z car series has been the largest selling sports car in the world but the amount of books available is dismal. For some reason you can buy huge glossy books on Ferrari and Porsche models of which only a few were ever made. But very little on the 300zx. The most informative site I have yet found is at www.pitstop.net.au.

There isn't much they don't have on the Z car. A couple of good books are Nissan 300ZX The Enthusiast's Companion by Ray Hutton and Nissan 300ZX from Automobilia. These are where you will read about how Hicas works on the steering. There are a number of Z car books which have a chapter or so on the 300zx but dwell more on the earlier cars. Still interesting reading. To drool over is a recent copy of HyperRev. The 300zx version is full of good stuff. Usually only available in Japan but I have heard of copies being purchased in the US. Nismo Sports Catalogue can be sourced from local Nissan agents or from the US for a lot cheaper but there isn't much in it for the 300zx. Different story for the GT- R though. A very usefull book is Maximum Boost by Corky Bell (no relation to Tom Bell that I am aware of) which will tell you all you wanted to know about turbocharging - not 300zx specific.
